M2.CARE CONTEXT LINKING
MILESTONE 2

Care Context Linking.

Link patient health records to their ABHA identity through care contexts: logical groupings of clinical encounters.

What is a Care Context?

A care context is a logical grouping of health records from one clinical encounter. Each provider creates them differently:

  • Hospitals - one per visit or admission
  • Labs - one per test or panel
  • Clinics - one per consultation or prescription

Linking Flow

The linking process depends on whether health data is already stored on your platform or needs to be fetched from the HIP at a later time.
